What is Bubba® made of?
Bubba® is made of durable and flexible materials. These include: hose, rope, strapping, wood and wood products, plastic products, burlap and several types of tape. His "skin" is a mummy wrap of contractor's grade duct tape. Bubba® is a sculpture, and it takes about 20 hours to build one dummy. Back to top
Isn't 50 pounds too light?
The earliest Bubba® dummies were about 80 pounds, and they were way too heavy. This is dead weight and feels much heavier. Most customers agree that 50 pounds is the perfect weight. Back to top
Does Bubba® have joints?
Yes, and they are very realistic. The knees and elbows, for example, bend naturally but won't bend backwards. That means you can really crank those jointlocks and increase your leverage and strength. The shoulders, hips, ankles and wrists are all very realistic, too. He even has fingers you can attack or interlock. Back to top
Can he stand up?
Bubba® can't stand by himself (unless he is touching his toes), but he can stand with a little support for great throws and takedowns. His legs can stay fairly straight which allows him to support some of his weight (please see the hints page to see how that is possible). Back to top
How long have you been building Bubba®s?
I started building Bubba®s in 1991 after attending a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu seminar. Back to top
Is there a Warranty?
Bubba® comes with a limited one year warranty. Under normal usage, this dummy should provide years of service. Back to top
How long does it take to get a Bubba®?
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Sometimes we have an avalanche of orders, other times we have less orders and can get them out faster. Back to top
Can I order Bubba® directly from you?
You can order through me or directly from I & I Sports (click here). Either way, they will receive the info and send a great Bubba® to you. Back to top
